Splendor is a game of chip-collecting and card development. Players are merchants of the Renaissance trying to buy gem mines, modes of transportation, and shops all in order to acquire the most prestige points. If you're wealthy enough, you might even receive a visit from a noble at some point, which of course will further increase your prestige.
On your turn, you may (1) collect gems (chips), or (2) buy and build a card, or (3) reserve one card. If you collect gems, you take either three different kinds of gems or two gems of the same kind. If you buy a card, you pay its price in gems and add it to your playing area. To reserve a card to build later (to make sure you get it, or, why not, your opponents do not), place it in front of you face down and take a gold in the form of a joker chip, which you can use later as any gem.
All of the cards you buy increase your wealth by giving you a permanent gem bonus for later purchases; moreover, some of the cards also give you prestige points. In order to win the game you must reach 15 prestige points first.
The game is quite short and you should be able to play it in 30 minutes or less. But it is also quite intense.
**It is a perfect wonder of a game, a timeless masterpiece many have tried to copy without success.

„Splendor“ yra žetonų rinkimo ir kortų kūrimo žaidimas.
Žaidėjai yra Renesanso epochos pirkliai, bandantys įsigyti brangakmenių kasyklas, transporto rūšis ir parduotuves, kad gautų kuo daugiau prestižo taškų.
Jei esate pakankamai turtingas, tam tikru momentu galbūt sulauksite kilmingojo vizito, kuris, žinoma, dar labiau padidins jūsų prestižą.
Savo ruožtu galite (1) rinkti brangakmenius (žetonus) arba (2) nusipirkti ir pastatyti kortelę arba (3) rezervuoti vieną kortelę.
Jei renkate brangakmenius, pasiimate tris skirtingus brangakmenius arba du tos pačios rūšies brangakmenius.
Jei perkate kortelę, sumokate jos kainą brangakmeniais ir įtraukiate į savo žaidimų zoną.
Norėdami rezervuoti kortelę, kurią galėsite pastatyti vėliau (kad įsitikintumėte, jog ją gavote, arba, kodėl gi ne, jūsų oponentai to nedaro), padėkite ją priešais save veidu žemyn ir paimkite auksą juokdario lusto pavidalu, kurį galite naudoti vėliau kaip koks brangakmenis.
Visos perkamos kortelės padidina jūsų turtus suteikiant jums nuolatinę brangakmenio premiją vėlesniems pirkimams; be to, kai kurios kortos taip pat suteikia jums prestižo taškų.
Norėdami laimėti žaidimą, pirmiausia turite pasiekti 15 prestižo taškų.
Žaidimas yra gana trumpas ir turėtumėte jį žaisti per 30 minučių ar mažiau.
Tačiau jis taip pat gana intensyvus.
Tai puikus žaidimo stebuklas, nesenstantis šedevras, kurį daugelis bandė kopijuoti nesėkmingai.
