A spectacular duel unfolds deep beneath the earth. You take turns sending out mighty dragons to conquer territories. But place them wisely! If your beasts grow too powerful, they'll turn on each other, and you could lose everything.
Dragon Overload is a card game for two, part of our 2026 Summer of Games.
You compete to send your dragons into five landscapes and gain majority there. Each zone is associated with a specific family of dragons and can hold only a limited number of cards.
How does it work? On your turn, you select one of your cards and place it in one of the available slot on your side of the board. Your opponent gets the card from the pile of the chosen area, and he then plays one of his cards. And so on…
The game is based on a territory-control mechanism, but accumulating power isn't necessarily the best strategy. If the strength of your dragons reaches at least twice that of your opponent’s in a zone, your creatures become uncontrollable and you automatically lose that territory. This rule turns your duels into an exercise in balance and anticipation.
Dragon Overload incorporates an element of bluffing thanks to the possibility to play up to three cards face down. Incomplete information forces your opponent to interpret your intentions while protecting their own plans.
The game ends when one player controls all five territories, when an opponent can no longer perform a valid action, or when all zones are filled. The player with the most territory at that point wins.

Jūs varžotės, kad išsiųstumėte savo drakonus į penkis kraštovaizdžius ir ten įgytumėte daugumą. Kiekviena zona yra susieta su konkrečia drakonų šeima ir joje gali būti tik ribotas kortų skaičius.
Kaip tai veikia? Savo ėjimo metu pasirenkate vieną iš savo kortų ir padedate ją į vieną iš laisvų langelių savo lentos pusėje. Jūsų priešininkas paima kortą iš pasirinktos srities krūvos ir tada žaidžia vieną iš savo kortų. Ir taip toliau…
Žaidimas pagrįstas teritorijos kontrolės mechanizmu, tačiau galios kaupimas nebūtinai yra geriausia strategija. Jei jūsų drakonų jėga zonoje pasiekia bent dvigubai didesnę nei priešininko, jūsų padarai tampa nekontroliuojami ir jūs automatiškai prarandate tą teritoriją. Ši taisyklė jūsų dvikovas paverčia pusiausvyros ir laukimo pratimu.
Dragon Overload žaidime yra blefavimo elementas, nes galima žaisti iki trijų užverstų kortų. Neišsami informacija verčia priešininką interpretuoti jūsų ketinimus, tuo pačiu saugant savo planus.
Žaidimas baigiasi, kai vienas žaidėjas kontroliuoja visas penkias teritorijas, kai priešininkas nebegali atlikti galiojančio veiksmo arba kai visos zonos yra užpildytos. Laimi žaidėjas, tuo metu turintis daugiausiai teritorijų.
