The Tournaments FAQ doc (main post) has not been updated since November 2015. It has outdated, incorrect info and is missing info on updates since then (new types of tournaments, etc.) Also, please add an explanation of the tie-breaker rules for each type of tournament.
Some additional info is found in replies to the original FAQ post, but there are so many pages of replies that the info is scattered throughout, difficult to find, and also not always reliable or accurate.• Kokia tavo naršyklė?

Raportų istorija
For example, in a multiplayer-elimination tournament where two out of four players advance to the next round, which two players advance if a game ends in a three-way tie for the win?
Also, is there a different rule in the case where one player is booted so that the remaining three players are deemed to have tied even though one of them might have been way ahead in points?
The software clearly has some rule to deal with these cases (as well as ties in round-robin, Swiss, and single-elimination tournaments). Could a BGA administrator just say what the rules are and add them to the FAQ.
For tie breakers, current practices seem to be:
1) Order of finish in a game that ends automatically due to the allotted time running out for the game is determined by clock time left for each player.
2) For other cases where a tie breaker is needed, either for round advancement in an elimination tournament, or final placement in a non-elimination tournament, age of player accounts is used as the tie breaker. This includes 3+ player elimination games ending due to a player being removed for being out of time, which effectively creates a tie for first place among the remaining players.
Every time a player is disqualified in a game, all remaining players (even those with negative time) are considered tied winners and the ones advancing are chosen inexplicably by the website.
Other users claim the players advancing are the ones with the oldest accounts, others think that they are the ones with the most time remaining, I have noted that they ate the ones who were lucky enough to have been drawn first into the particular game, that is the ones whose names appear first on the particular table.
However, none of the above probable explanations is followed every time.
Hence, it is absolutely vital that:
1. Either the above rule is added to the general Rules FAQ, or
2. An official announcement is made in the Forums, or
3. This rule is clearly stated in EVERY tournament when players apply to participate.
It is too much of a grey zone and it is frustrating to many many players, judging by forum posts.
Thank you.
