It happened to me on 5 players Saboteur table 11703879: me and another player tied for the first place, I got the "5 played games" trophy but not the "First victory" one.

and in my profile under Saboteur is reported: 5 games 1 victories, so it should have counted as first victory I think.

I guess I know why this happened:
My first and second winning of "Lords of Xidit" should occur at
#14639778, #14640062
but there's someone quitting during these games, so it's just count a "winning" but no rewards with it, it's a judgement bug.

It happened to me too. On legendary inventors. On my first game someone quited and everyone else became a winner and i didnt get my 5pts :(

This bug still seems to be happening. I had the same problem at Saboteur. My first 2 wins were shared wins, and I did not get the gift points. My third win was now a solo win and I still didn't get them.

If the first victory is a draw, then even if the player wins by only oneself later it doesn't count for 5 gift points. Still not fixed.

Happened to me also at Secret Moon and Tzolk'in. My first 2 wins were shared wins, and I did not get the gift points. My third victory was a solo win and I get 3rd victory trophy but still didn't get 5 gift points. Also it seems impossible to get 5 gift points for first victory in Belote and Caribbeanallfours.

Happened to me also in Stone Age and Saboteur first victory was shared with other players because another played disconnected and get out of time.. Later I got my first real and alone Victory but didn't received de 5 gift points

Same thing happenned to me when a player left a Celestia game. I also did'nt win 5 points on Hanabi.

I had the same problem at Terra Mystica. My first 2 wins were caused by player's quitting the game, and I did not get the gift points. My third and fourth win was now a solo win and I still didn't get them.

As someone who set out with the goal of getting a "First Victory" badge in every game on BGA, it is definitely frustrating that I can't get the badge for games that are played in teams. E.g., Caribbean All Fours.

I would suggest that if someone is tied for first place they should get a "First Victory" badge.

The 5 gift points would be awarded for the first solo win (or when a single team wins). Therefore, if a player wins his first game in a tie, he could still get the 5 gift points lately.

I won a couple of games of Not Alone as a team against the creature and didn't get the gift points.

I kept playing and eventually menaged to win as creature in this game: boardgamearena.com/#!table?table=50918744). Still no gift points.

Seems to be something else... Maybe an earlier "win" (one player quit: boardgamearena.com/#!table?table=50911888) has somehow already set the used parameter for the gift points to "done" without giving them as it was abandoned?

My understanding is you do not give 5 reward points to games which are won via a player quitting/running out of time. Makes sense as that would be fairly open to abuse. The issue seems to be that if your 1st win comes via a player quitting/running out of time you do not then receive your 5 reward points when you get you real 1st win as the coding believes you've already had your 1st win I guess. You do however get the trophy saying you won your 1st game. This has happened to me on both Though The Ages: A New Story and Yahtzee. The other issue reading though these which I have not encountered is that ties are being treated as if a player had quit/ran out of time thus causing those players issues too.

I see now that in a lot of games, where i win the first mach, I don't get the trophy "FIRST VICTORY" and the 5 gift points reward.

I won in Backgammon, Checkers and The Builders: Antiquity and the website didn't give me the First Victory award nor the gift points.... Please fix and give back the points to those who won them...

Adding the same info as for report 3234. Both bugs seems related.

No gift, no trophy/prestige, and no "1st Victory" badge for a 1st win at For Sale (#73612226)
No trophy and no "3rd Victory" badget for a 3rd victory at For Sale (#73817749)
No gift, no trophy, and no "1st Victory" badge for a 1st win at Terra Mystica (#73823063)

All games completed normally with all participants.

One more game today

No gift/prestige/"1st Victory" badge for a 1st victory at Incan Gold (#74022935). Game completed with all players.

I received the badge & prestige for the ELO>0.

I got time first Victories in Mulino, Hearts, Can't Stop, Gomoku and Siam but didn't received the +5 gift points. The problem began yesterday when I played Can't Stop and my oppenent quit the game before end. All the other games where played later and completed normally with all partecipants. Maybe there is something I don't know.

Can anyone explain what happened?
The Siam game was my very first one so I really don't understand.

Today I received my badge about 3 victories at Celestia and with it I gain the badge of the first victory (with the 5 gift points). So this is quite weird.
Moreover when I look at my stats it says that I have 5 victories for Celestia...

So I checked for other games I have also "Coup" 7 victories but only the 3 victories badge
I have many other games with victories but no 1st victory badge (but I don't know if there was a tie or if a user had dropped (but I know that for some of them it is not the case as I played few games))

Same issue today. Can be reproduced easily when playing Spades. There are 2 teams of 2 players. The winning team will get the same points for both the players.

I think it was the same thing preventing me from getting +5 gift points today when playing Spades. Me and my teammate won and both got +51 ELO points. But, even though it was my first game I did not get the +5 gift point I had expected.

I think same problem with "Belote" where a team is composed of 2 players. Therefore, no 5 pts for wining the first game... :(

Did not receive gift points or first win banner/XP for multiple wins in the past few days. That led me to go through my game history and I also found another game where that happened back in December. No one left the games during the play like some other reports on this thread.

Do you stop earning gift points when you are sitting on 75 points? I haven't gotten any gift point in 3 months after definitely playing and winning new games for the first time.

When Playing Alhambra with three players, there was a problem which happened several times. When a player purchased a property for the correct total and should have been able to acquire further money tokens to the value of five, the system would not allow the player to take more than one token of money no matter what the total value of the coins was.

I just got a trophy for my 3rd consecutive victory, funnily enough it says "Never 2 without 3", they forgot to say "but possibly without 1", since I never got my 1st victory trophy. All "victories" were either in a team, or due to someone abandoning the game, so they count as ties for the 1st victory, but as victories for all other trophies.

In the case of Caribbean All Fours, if you check the Game Result in the Replay, it always registers the game as a tie, since the 2 players on the winning team always have the same points. I imagine that's what needs fixing.

I don't necessarily mind if a tied victory in a free-for-all game doesn't count, but some of the others with problems are mystifying. I played Hanabi (a co-op game) with a friend and he got the First Win achievement while I didn't. Then we won again and I got it the 2nd time. No idea what went wrong the first time, or right the second time.

The issue is not to not get the 5 gift points when the first win is tied with another player, but not to get them later.
With the possible exception of team games, for which BGA should provide clarification.
