While playing in a Rapid Carcassonne tournament, many players (including myself, unintentionally) exceeded their fixed time limit and so gained an unfair advantage.
Would it be possible to add an option to have a fixed time allotted per player, where a player is automatically disqualified and loses the game if they exceed their time limit?
Although in theory it is possible to kick a player off if they exceed their allocated time, I think (but do not know for sure) that the current situation is that if they keep making their next move within 20 seconds of their opponent trying to kick them off then they still stay in the game.
Although this was for Carcassonne, I am sure it would be a useful option for many games where playing against the clock can be an enjoyable element. -

Whether it is automatic or opponent-confirmed, there needs to be a way for games to set a "hard" time limit, where once a player runs out of time they can be immediately forced to forfeit with no further opportunity to play on regardless of how fast they try to play after that point.
Expelled people often complain in the forums and even try reporting the players that expelled them. An automatic expulsion would prevent these people from shifting the blame to someone else.
Automatic expulsion would also prevent the practice where a person only expels someone in order to avoid a loss, but keeps on playing as long as they can still win.
This might still be a good option to have, but my previous comment refers to the regular system where time is added every turn.
