The reason for that is rules of the BGA: we both got 1st place, but player Yonyon48 got +12 raiting and I got -1 raiting. This indicates me as a second place player.

Thanks for the report. I can confirm from the publisher that the Opportunist card does NOT get applied in the event of a tie for first place.
I would strongly advise against adding a BGA-specific interpretation beyond that, and the game code itself does not natively have access to players' ELO, so it cannot be used as any kind of tie-breaker.
